Lennox resume just says enough. Tyson and Holyfield> Jones and Hopkins. ALL DAY.

To me you cannot just take his best wins and then discount the losses. But of course it's a matter of opinion really.

i think it was easier for lewis he fights as a heavyweight and therfore he naturally recieved more recognition and attention, he also had a well known UK rival in frank bruno (who is alot more well known than robin bloddy reid!!), alot of the fighters in lewis's division were also well known americans (tommy morison, tyson and holyfield obviously etc). he was also picked for the olympics whereas joe was overlooked.

however credit where it is due and lewis defeated every top fighter put in front of him.

imo though calzaghe's level of compeition and big names isn't that far away, RJJ, byron mitchell, brewer, hopkins, kessler, lacy, robin reid are all good fighters.

lewis has faced the better competition and is probably a better fighter but pound for pound i think joe is the better fighter, joe like lewis though will probably get his real respect and recognition once he retires.

lewis beat a prime future heavyweight champion while he was past prime.
as well as avenging his loses. Calzaghe is undefeated but it has come with a price . . . not facing prime opposition, avoiding many challenges. joe does not have the legacy lewis has left imo.
