What about the trouble between Newcastle and Sunderland fans the other week in football? Or the abuse players take from people in the stands and the terraces every week while their kids hold their hands taking it all in? They then try and justify it by saying we paid coming in the gate so we can say what we want! Hooliganism is alive and well in Britain my friend so don't try and paint a different picture.

Rubbish. You get isolated incidents but nothing compared to it used to be. The north east derby was just a scuffle, and how many grounds do you know that still have terraces? Not many, I don't have any stats but i'd like to bet that at least 90% of stadiums are all seater.

Just because it's nothing like it use to be doesn't mean that it's still not alive today in Britain, it's just not as bad. There have been plenty more incidents in recent years so don't give me that "30 years ago" crap. I'm not saying that all football fans are thugs but there is a minority that raise their ugly heads and they won't go away just because you want them to.

There's a difference between full scale organised riots and someone shouting at the ref on a saturday afternoon you bellend.

America just isn't dominating sports the way it used to, boxing, tennis, athletics et al. The heavyweight division used to be the sole preserve of America, now they don't a single relevant guy in the division. The top two men in tennis are a Spaniard and a Swiss, with barely any Americans in the top 20. The current golden boy of athletics is Jamaican. And for a nation as traditionally successful and self-confident as the US, that's all a bit of culture shock. Hence threads like this.

We've been riding high on what we used to be in the past; I agree.

When have I ever mentioned anyone shouting at the ref? Seems like your argument has ran it's course so you have to stoop to petty insult. Your doing your country proud with those posts, typical British behaviour I would say!

Tennis is an incredible sport; a very hard sport. It's a sport where you can be 25 years old and past your prime.

The Williams sisters are good examples of America: When they are motivated and in shape, they are amazing...but when they are not, they are on the side-lines with injuries. Although I have to admit, what Serena did winning the Australian Open when she was coming off injuries and about 25 pounds over-weight was amazing to watch...although she was motivated with people ripping here, so, I'll give her half-credit.

We still got Tiger Woods, right?

It's not really worth arguing with a **** who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. You obviously never saw British hooliganism at it's height and don't frequent games now. I take my daughter to games all over the country and can't remember the last time I saw a ruck.
                    Sorry lad but you failed.
