WOW they really are afraid of bhop!

this **** is gettin out of hand.roy is doing all he could to avoid bernard hopkins.they both wanna retire fighting each other because there is no risk involved.when are boxing fans going to let that coward ass roy jones have it.he gets away with everything he does and people believe in every excuse he creates.he talks about his legacy like he really believes he will go down as one of the best,LOL.he says nothing could hurt his legacy, WHAT! his legacy been taking hits since the magic man got in his ass.glen jonhson almost killed him(dont lie,you thought he was dead too),he fights a bus driver in prince badi-ajamu, then he fights another out of shape bum in anthony hanshaw, and both of those fights went the distance!when are boxing fans gonna pressure him to give us the rematch weve been begging for since 1993! he keeps saying that doesnt need to fight him again since he beat him,bu he gave tarver a rematch when tarver was a nobody.if boxing fans allow this guy to get away with publicly duckin bhop,it'll be disspointing

Depends entirely on how entertaining and competitive this fight is. Hopkins' PPVs haven't exactly been much to talk about, for years.

I thought this may well be the case. Roy was on about a 2 fight deal for ages, Joe said no. It mostly went quiet, but Roy more subtly mentioning the possiblity of a second fight in Wales. Joe was also saying as long as I win, and in good form I'll retire.

So that was hinting the possibility of a rematch if he lost, and wasn't really talking of anyone else. In terms of the possibility of facing someone else I still think it's slim, but he said whether or not he comes out of retirement he doesn't know, i.e no big fights now maybe tempted down the road.

A re match would be massive at Cardiff's Millenium stadium, talking 60+ thousand or something.

the article clearly states in th evenet that Joe loses, so if your scenario plays out there wont be a rematch, it's really very simple!!!

I agree, but I just cannot see it being bigger money-wise than Rjj-B-hop II. That fight has been a must have for ten years or more since Hopkins proved he deserved the rematch. If Calzaghe loses badly to Jones, there will be no reason for a rematch other than money and that will turn myself and alot of fans off. If the fight is close, I would rather Jones still fight B-hop to prove his point about being better all along, etc...

Either way, Jones beats Calzaghe this weekend and now even Joe has shown that he knows that. Bad Move Joe!

Even more motivation for Roy. He's getting a big pay check and if he wins he gets even a bigger one. Good on Roy.

                      Is Joe doubting himself?
