Man, this is just Jones saying that he wants more money than Bernard. Hes just stating he much more entertaining to watch and he can put much more butts in the seats to watch him then to watch Bernard. Hes the bigger draw is what hes basically trying to say.

i will be cheering for jones on the 8th. i think b-hop really wants the winner and he'd be willing to take a smaller check, since he did "technically" lose to both fighters. i think the pavlik fight inspired hopkins himself, and he's really "up" for a rematch w/ jones, even if he has to take a pay cut.
so b-hop may give jones 60-40, the whoop his ass!

as far as entertainment value goes, roy is by far the better entertainer. as far as skill wise, roy gets the smakker end of the stick, sorry. as for glen johnson, no need to face him again if you're b-hop. first of all you beat him convincingly already.....aside from that, you got bigger fights worth more money....as for roy jones, i would think he would've wanted to face tarver and johnson again, seeing how both of them knocked his ass out.....

funny thing is, im hopeful, for a rematch, but calzaghe may very well spoil that. roy hasn't looked good since the fight w/ ruiz, which makes me wonder how the hell ppl think he'll beat b-hop in a rematch....since his career took its downslide, roy jones has looked every bit his age, has made ordinary fighters look better than they are, and has gotten hit more than ever. hopkins hasn't faced ordinary fighters the last few years....the fights he "lost," he probably really won...there's no way roy beats hopkins at this point, so here's for hoping roy does the improbable and beats calzaghe....

see above. roy jones hasn't fought any1 as of late...since he got KO'ed....hopkins resume has been FILLED w/ p4p'ers, even in his 40's, he's still fighting the best.....name jones's last 5 fights

in terms of physical gifts (speed, athleticism, showmanship), there's no question jones is better. but in terms of absolute skill in mastering the craft of boxing, ring smarts, there's no question bernard is the better fighter......

roy loses, he gets KTFO....or beaten up.....

the fights hopkins has lost (calzaghe, taylor), there's resonable amounts of ppl that believe he won.....

roy was right....he's the better crowd pleaser, that's why he's on PPV......but roy jones is NOT, the better boxer. i hope he beats calzaghe tho, cuz i can't wait to see hopkins beat roy to ****.....

Pissing on Nard's fire a little bit. Surely as a fellow older fighter he'd be cool with someone proving that it can still be done, not getting all jealous. Winky made some respectful comment of Nards win being inspirational.

It could of course just be to build the case for a rematch but surely he'd say other things than this, and sooner. So it's just kinda pointless.

u didnt say it.....your boy asked who was greater....were not talking prime for prime, b/c there's no way to tell. when they fought, roy was in his prime, b-hop was not...FACT....

so prime for prime is a matter of opinion....you wanna talk overall careers, including now? b-hop. like i said, was has more physical gifts, is the better showman, hop has more skills period. hop also has longevity. do you think roy jones will be able to fight anyone significant when he's 43? hell no...

u'r talking hyptheticals....im talking overalls, and yes NOW. if they fight, it will be NOW. b-hop won't punk jones, may not KO him, but he beats him convincingly.....roy jones has been scared to engage since he got KTFO, and if he fights bernard at bernads pace, he does get punked.

one thing we kno, bernard's power is very underrated, especially when he deicedes to let em go.....he's either knocked down, or hurt every1 he's fought the last few years, w/ the exception of winky wright- which is understandable. when't the last time roy had somebody in "trouble?" saying all that, hopkins WILL touch jones in the fight, and jones's chin is questionable to say the least.....how well will jones be able to touch bernard? even if he does, chances are he won't touch him enough to hurt him......

i dont care how u look at it, or how much you like roy, hopkins won't "punk" him, as you say....he will 60-40 him tho, then whoop his ass....

this fight w/ calzaghe will be interesting tho. its the first "real"competition he's had since tarver III...and we all kno how that ended.....let roy talk tho, that's what he does best, and lets keep our fingers crossed he actually beats a top level fighter. hopkins will be at ringside as a reminder.....

andro was legal over the counter until 2004. so even if roy used andro in 2000 against hall, it was legal. as far as balco, show me documentation(real stuff) that proves he buying from victor conte. It just so happens that at 34 after waiting till the last second to lose 25 lbs of muscle was around the time the balco story broke. Roy went down hill, and people jumped on the bandwagon of him possibly taking steroids. Theres no proof, just speculation.

are we talking legality or principle of performance enhancers ?? i take your point and perhaps u kno better than me but I thought he DID test postive for steroids.... but happy to be corrected... however is there not a 'smoke without fire' argument here ?? has Roy ever denied it ?? (these are questions Truth, not digs btw)

I am more than willing to be schooled on the whole Roids Jones Jr. issue because it has always (for me) tainted the legacy of a fighter who absolutely amazed me during the 90's.... if you can enlighten me then please do.
