    Why is Hopkins a "legend"?

    Robin Hood is a "legend"

Merlin in the court of King Arthur is a "legend".

Saint George slaying a dragon is a "legend".

Some gap toothed headbutter who got 20 defences (except one was a NC but they still count it... wtf?) against the likes of Robert Allen, Simon Brown and two dwarves ain't a "legend". It's a good fighter with smoke being blown up his ass by Ring Magazine.

I appreciate losing to Roy Jones and having a draw with a cab driver is "legendary", just as it is getting outpointed twice by Jermain "**** stamina, had a competitive bout with Cory Spinks" Taylor is legendary.

But why is he a "legend"?

    Please explain.

Because he is better than Duke McKenzie. He beat Winky Tarver and Calslappy in his 40's. You also forget he beat Oscar and Tito in his late 30's even though he was the bigger man. Then you forget the undisputed middleweight champ Pavlik got schooled by him. He is a legend coz he beat up young fellas in his old age.

they call him a "LEGEND" because of his "GREATNESS" in boxing.

considering most legends are "FALSE" and made up stories...... i don't mind him being called a "LEGEND".

He beat Pavlik, Tito, Tarver = He was the underdog in all of them
                  He beat Glenn Johson undefeated
                  Winky Wright
                  Antwun, Mercado, Howard Eastman
DLH isn't even THAT big of a win...

with his style of boxing i find it hard to call him a legend.
