If the Mosely fight dosen't come off, would really like to see the Clottey rematch. But Arum may think thats to risky to the Cotto/Margarito rematch so he mat give him a mandorty etc Collazo or even Nuzhenko.

Late July 2007- files petition to be made mando. Williams is allowed an optional

so from aug 2008 to about oct 2008 nothing then Williams and Cintron go into negotiation for Feb 2nd (mid Oct)

Nov 2008- Margarito already slated to fight Johnson, Cintron wins but hurts hand.

so after Margarito fights an beats Johnson (Nov 10) Cintron hurts his hand (Nov 23rd I think) and cannot fight do you not think there could be a time to make Margarito Williams II? Considering the Quintana fight didnt get finalized until mid-late December?

I totally understand why Williams wanted to go after other fighters. Why rematch a guy he beat when there are other fighters who could bring him more money and more accolades

but to say Margarito avoided Williams, when there is proof otherwise, is ridiculous and IMO myopic. You are only seeing Williams side of things yet there was enough time in two periods where if Williams wanted to he could have made a rematch.

here is a question though. Why is it until what Aug 2008 did we not hear from Williams or Goossen about a rematch? Show me an article prior to July 27th 2008 that shows Williams wanted a rematch with Margarito because I looked and couldnt find anything.

and again this is in no way to **** on Williams he wanted the big fights and no one was willing to face him

however Margarito didnt appear to be part of that equation until July 27th 2008

there isnt any money in anyone fighting Forrest at all. Forrest's demands are higher than say a Verno Phillips thats why people were willing to deal with Verno rather than Vernon.

Didn't say Margs ducked Pwill. Arum didn't want them to fight. Didn't hear from Pwill until August because he had business to clean up; Quintana loss. Margs was still rebuilding his name. Everyone knew Cintron was a *****, so he didn't get as much credibility from the win, just a chance at Cotto.

As I said before, these two are on different career paths. They will only fight if Margs and Pwill beat everyone, and Margs is left looking for someone else to fight.

Goldenboy Promotions doesn't want to put any star fighter against Margarito yet. They are simply waiting for the fight between Oscar and Margarito to build up. This Pacquiao fight and whoever Margarito will fight next will be enough hype to make this fight a big sellout. Look for it to happen May 2nd, or 9, 2009
