I have an interesting concept and want YOUR opinion

THIS IS BOXING RELATED...so keep reading...

I went to the movies last night...As i was watching the movie an interesting idea hit me...

What do we all love here? boxing.

Well i was thinking how cool it would be to watch ppv's at the movies (or a similar venue).

Imagine sitting in a big movie theater...with a HUGE screen...tons of people in there with you...loud surround sound...and it being a ppv fight?

i think its a good idea in theory...they would charge everyone less than the standard $50 you pay at home due to the fact there would be so many people they could charge everyone $10-$15 and its a cross between being at home...and being there live...

just an idea...might be a ****** one...let me know your thoughts.

    vote in the poll.

    thanks.

I would definitely hit up the theaters to watch a PPV.

Great idea, son. Go propose that **** to Cobb Theaters or something (before a ****ing slag steals your idea)

    Most definitely.

That's how PPV exactly works in the Phil.

i didnt know if anyone mentioned it before...or thought of it...

it just came to mind during the movie...because during the movie i thought about some video on youtube where some idiots actually cheered on rocky in the newest rocky movie and then i thought what if you could watch boxing in theaters...

with the surround sound you'd be able to hear all the punches to well and it would provide the sound of being there (not exactly but close enough)...

you'd be in the theaters with however many hundreds of people so it would give the atmosphere of being there live...

and you could (or SHOULD) pay less to see the PPV since you're watching it with so many people...so it would be a great deal.

seems like a plan to me...

It would be very expensive for the theatre, and your ticket price would reflect it.

They charge bars a lot of money to buy PPV, and a movie theatre would probably have to pay more.

            AKA, close circuit viewings.

They still got those in Vegas for big fights, but in the olden days these were the norm. Every city had a close circuit viewing for major fights.

Hell, before TV dempsey fights would be broadcast live on the radio, and then the footage would be shipped to movie theatres where people would flock to see the footage of the fight

That's a good idea. I'd definitely do that.

bad idea, because some fans are so idiotic that they'll want to fight people in the theatre who are rooting for a different fighter than there own.

It's too dark in a movie theater. When I watch a boxing match I want some lights to be on so I can see and talk to my friends.

They used to show big fights in cinemas here. My dad watched the Thrilla in Manila in a Hammersmith theatre. Quite a few celebs there too, he reckons.
