I personally feel like it shouldn't have mattered where Andrade stood because he could not throw another punch anyway. Hell, he coulda stood over him (rules are rules though). Why did the ref pay so much attention to Andrade instead of the down fighter? I think we all know why. To give Bute more time to recover and get to his feet. Does a ref have to pretend that there is a 13th round to fight when a fighter goes down at the last bell, because if so then clearly Bute should have been counted out. Where was the " Are you OK" and " Walk to me". Even so, the hesitation to start the count and continue the count cost Andrade a staight up KO victory. F@ck Marlon Byrd or whatever his name was. Andrade deserved it and the part that broke your heart was how gracious he acted and the show of sportsmanship that Librado displayed despite the obvious hometown robbery.
Bute went down with five seconds left in the round. He beat the ten count. There was no time left on the clock when he got up, so the fight was over. The ref was horse****, but Bute was the rightful winner.

In that situation the ref was going to get stick regardless of what he did. He made a balls up, but Bute did beat the count and the fight was due to be over by the count's end. Just imagine the abuse that would now be heaped on the ref had he stopped the champ with seconds to go in the final round. Just one of the many aspects of boxing where the rules are vague and interpreted differently by different refs.
For comparison, look at the Taylor-Chavez fight, when Steele stopped it with 2 seconds left on the clock. That fight all but ruined Steele's reputation, yet Taylor had taken a much heavier beating than Bute, who was in control for most of the fight save the final minute.
What about the idiots who say it should have been a ko win for Andrade, when Andrade didn't ko Bute but only knocked him down with Bute beating the count? I don't get that, I can understand if they say the ref cheated, but bute beat the count.
