We all saw what mosley did to mayorga in the 12th round with a couple of second left, knock out with a left hook that left mayorga flat on his back. True we may never know if that might be the case but bute was gone and that most likely could have been the case if the ref wasn't wasting time as he clearly was.

Yes, Looking at the reply, How did the ref know Andrade was leaving the neutral corner? Does he have eyes in the back of his head? He was looking directly at Bute's corner. It was like someone was told him to delay the count and start warning Andrade. Bute got up but he had glassy eyes.

yes, bute had no life in him when he got knocked down, the ropes were holding him up when he beat the count. if this fight had taken place in ANY other country (except maybe romania) librado andrade would be the new champion. LA got jobbed and i feel horrible for him.

I just rewatched the last round of the fight and true there is no way andrade could have come in for another punch since time ran out but the ref was still obviously trying to kill time and took too long to finish the count. The ref was absolute crap throughout the fight. I got andrade in a rematch by brutal ko.

anyone who said NO, has no business being a boxing fan! at the very least in boxing there needs to be fairness and all this hometown favortism is bull****, they just ROBBED a man who legitimately knocked out the other man. bute was done and had a count of over 17 seconds ( and that is being modest in saying 17 because it was more like 26 seconds ).

if the count had been done right and correct from the moment of the knockdown, bute got up on his feet at the count of 10, which in any real fight, he would've been counted out because he couldn't even stand on his own, AND HE COULDN'T EVEN STAND ON HIS OWN EVEN AFTER THE LONG COUNT!!!!!

that was a complete robbery, and i think that andrade and his people have a legitimate case for a appeal. that was some of the worst officiating i have seen in recent years. the ref all fight long let bute hold excessively like john ruiz, and didn't warn him until the last minute of the 11th round, and when bute couldn't hold anymore he was getting stopped, only thing is the ref made sure that his boy made it to the final bell, by cheating!!!!!

another blackeye, another injustice, another ****ty referee; and people wonder why boxing doesn't get the proper attention it should. people don't like watching sports when someone is winning by cheating!!!!

No one is arguing about what the IBF rules state--the Ref was obviously favoring Bute the entire fight and a neutral judge wouldn't of used the IBF rules so *******ly as to give Bute every single chance to recover and beat the count. Think of how great that fight would've been with a come from behind 12 round KO and the ref ****ing ruined it...

TKO for Andrade. It really shoudn't have come down to the last few seconds. This fight might've been stopped by a different ref because Bute got battered for the last minute of the fight without throwing ANYTHING back. Meldrick Taylor was stopped by Chavez & was in FAR better shape than Bute.

Yeah. Any debate is just a lack of understanding of boxing. You could argue that that fight should have been stopped over the second half of the round. He couldn't even stand up straight. How do you let someone continue in a fight that cannot stand up straight on his own? The ref botched the end, maybe intentionally. If he had gone through the procedures on time, Bute would have fallen on his face trying to step forward at a real eight count. He was in no condition to fight and the ref can't know exactly how much time was left. Had Andrade the time to run and and land one last punch, and the ref while clearly trying to make that unlikely did not know that there wasn't for a fact, we could be talking about stripping him of his license for letting a fighter die.

It is disgusting how hometown cooking totally shows the truth of the human spirit. We aren't interested in our heroes. We are interested in ourselves. Montreal feels Bute represents Montreal. They will let him die before they'd let him lose if they could help it, and they damn well tried to. They should be ashamed. That was as about as bad as KO as you can get (the ones where fighters get KO'd cold are far less damaging than that one even), and yet they force him to win a UD. It is the same thing as what happened when Abraham tried to quit versus Miranda and they wouldn't let him.

Bute fought a great fight. He showed great heart. Abraham did too the first time against Miranda. Those were only positive reflections on each fighter. The problem is the infrastructure around them. CARE ABOUT YOUR GODDAMN FIGHTER. Glory isn't worth that. Bute is just as much of a victim here as Andrade.
