Let me be clear, Pea is 1 of the greatest fighters I had ever seen in my short life and on the tapes I've seen. But I just can't help but want more from him. with all that talent, he still should have been able to beat Tito and that last dude he fought. I can't even remember who that was. and in my opinion he beat Oscar and Chavez.
I don't think Pea's resume could be that much better.

Now Floyd on the other hand...

    Sigh...

He really, really disappointed me. I remember thinking he could be greater than Jones...****, Robinson too!! Really disappointed with how his career panned out after 135.

Yeah but 80% of Mayweather fans (EDIT: and those who despise him too btw, maybe 95% there) dont know **** about boxing, I am talking about ppl who are worth listening to when they rate fighters in a bigger picture (people who watch and understand boxing).

On the bold, i find it a ridiculous gap. Don't want to get in that, because I find the style matchup much more interesting.
Man, I won't front...I hated Pea. Hated him. He beat my idol lol.

I think head to head, it's much closer than it is career to career between Pea and Floyd. And to think they share at least one common opponent. Pea's resume is just special.

I think the Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton sequence is very very respectable. I have no problem with the last part of his career, minus the retirement, but that I cannot really object with... his life, his health (and most likely his hands).

On the other hand Sosa, N'dou, Corley, Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell is just a pathetic choice of opponents. in his best years, in his best weight classes... I sigh too.

If he had wins for chavez, Oscar, Tito and that last dude it would be. Don't Pea got 4 or 5 losses. Who was the other loss?

It wasn't much at 140 so I don't know why u disappointed with that. At 147, it wasn't bad. He fought a former undisputed WW champ in Zab, a former champ in Mitchell as a debut, linear champ in Baldomir. a finale of Hatton, a p4p elite. It whatn't bad really, if he got too Cotto before Margarito...it could have been better. basically he foguht what was there. then there is the sparring match with Oscar, but other than that it what'nt too bad.

Sweet pea vs. Oscar..who really won? Some say Sweet Pea.. Either way it was close. De La Hoya was better then.. and closer to his prime . I had Floyd winning his bout by two rounds. Also very close fight. De La Hoya was 78.22% of his prime during that fight. The debate continues....
