i DUNNO... MAYBE I THINK NOT BECAUSE FLOYD HASN'T SHOWN ME A K.O. OF A GREAT FIGHTER AND IM HOLDING IT AGAINST HIM..
AND I DON'T MEAN BLOWN UP RICKY HATTON...
I'M NOT SAYIN HE WOULD GET KO'D BY WHITAKER... BUT ITS WAS DIFFERENT TIMES AND DIFFERENT STYLES WITH ***VERY DIFFERENT BREEDS OF FIGHTERS*** that they both faced in their times.Comment

You also have yet to see Floyd fight anyone resembling a prime Trinidad.Comment

Pernell beats Mayweather. Anyone who doesn't believe so has Floyd's nuts too far down their throat.
I'm not a fan of either one of their styles but all it takes is watching some old Whittaker tapes and you know who was the better fighter.Comment

Knockout have come easier? Mugabi, Jackson and McClellan were fighting around Pea's time no? It's true that refs have become faster at stopping fights. And I also believe that the level of skills in boxing is not getting any higher these days, but i dont think this is reflected by stoppage ratios.Wow... I'm not even mad because I love floyd so much but I honestly think alot of you have this wrong...
maybe I was going crazy on saying So much power over floyd.. but i do think Pea hits harder.. Guys were better than today just a few years ago... I think knock outs have become easier to come by...
Guess only I think Pea would win.
I don't think you are the only one picking Pea.
I am quite divided on this one. To be honest with you, I believe that anyone having a very decisive opinion on this fight either has a little bit too much love or a little bit too much hate for one of the two fighters. This is not only a close fight, but IMO ****1ng hard to imagine how it would develop. I don't see any knockouts, but I dont know at what range it is mostly going to happen, who's going to press the action and when. what are the later rounds going to look like etc.
Like I said Pea's plan A is some of the best stuff ever seen in a ring, but if I have ever seen a fighter adapt and keep composure and focus is PBF. So you know if someone is not going to be frustrated by a prime Pea, that's PBF. But not being frustrated might not be enough win you 7 rounds.Comment

I don't think Mayweather could ever stand right infront of someone toe to toe with his arms down below his waist in a corner and not get hit by one shot.Knockout have come easier? Nice post. Whitaker was so hard to beat because most fighters could never figure him out and the very elite would usually catch on too late - and there was still little they could do about it. That muthaphukka was hard to hit. Plus, his jab was brilliant, his footwork breathtaking and he worked the body well on the inside. Remember how Zab Judah was once called "Pernell Whitaker with power?" Well, if Floyd Mayweather had problems with that version of Zab imagine the difficulties he'd face against Pea.Knockout have come easier?
