If Diaz would have beat Pacquiao, would he have took Pacquiaos top 3 P4p spot? No, same should go for Jones.

He has done nothing of late to even be considered a p4p fighter:

He let the smaller shot Trinidad go the distance with him. (his best win in years)
Beat Anthony Hansaw? Then Prince Badi Ajamu?? Not exactly anything p4p about that.
    Tarver- LOSS
Glen Johnson- LOSS: Got knocked out badly.
Tarver- LOSS: Got knocked out badly.

Even if Jones were to win he shouldnt be anywhere near a top 10 p4p list, 15 maybe. A Calzaghe win for him would be great. Most likey one of the best fighters hes ever been in with. But the P4P list is for fighters who consistantly win and against good competion.
If he beats Calzaghe then follows with another good win, no doubt about it.

Chad Dawson should be in the top 10. He deserves it much more. Paul Williams and Shane Mosley are in the running too.

Joe will probably stay on the list, just below Jones if that happens. A guy can hope cant he? LOL
I was just messin around, and im sure who ever determines the p4p rankings are a fan of the sport and certain boxers, has to influence their descesion one way or the other.

yeah but theres a big difference between Jones and Diaz. if Diaz beat Pac people wuld have said pac wasnt good at lightweight and it wasnt his natural weight bla bla. but if Jones beats an undefeated top 3 p4p fighter then it will be enough to get into the top 10, if he continues and beats hop after that then p4p number 1 unless someone acheives more in that span on time.

Agree 100% this is the best answer to this question...if RJJ KO's Joe in spectacular fashion then it's a resounding yes...if he loses or even wins a close fight then he doesn't deserve to be up there....

those rankings are all a sham, if Hatton beats Malinagi and DLH beats Pacman, they both will end up on the list setting up the next "super mega dollar fight between two of boxings p4p elites." DLH VS Hatton, I can see the headlines already.

Yea, seems a little unfair, but who else would rank the fighters? Surely not anyone with no boxing knowledge. All evens out but I def. don't like a promoter like Golden Boy owning the most notable rating magazine though.

If Roy Jones does that hes definitely p4p number 1.

I just don't get that he can beat JC and be nowhere near the P4P list but as soon as he defeats Hop he is rocketed up to #1? Idk, I say if he beats JC, he has done enough to get on that list. Like I said, some people believe that if you knock off a #2 or a #1 fighter, then that automatically puts you on that list, but my question was, what happens when ODLH beats Pac who is recognized as #1? Does ODLH deserve to be top 10?
