In fairness to Kelly, there is no way to tell if he is ruined or not until we see him fight a good fighter again. I think we would all agree that he def. did'nt look like himself in that fight.

I think maybe he had some problems in camp, etc.... but we all know he did'nt lose that fight on that alone. B-hop was by far a better fighter than Pavlik was prepared for. Hell, he was better than i was prepared for.

The biggest truth to all this is that styles make fights, as B-hop said right after the end of the fight. We know it, he knows it and Kelly just needs to realize it as well and move on. Hopkins is a master at taking away your weapons and he did it again. To tell the truth, it seemed pretty easy to understand that if you smother a long-armed fighters punches, they will be stiffled. I really wish fighters would stop making excuses. From the very first punch Pavlik threw in the very first round I told my friend who was watching the fight with me that the weight gain seems to have affected Pavlik because he looked sluggish. But he signed the contract for that weight, he knew he was sick before the fight, he knew he had gottin injured, you still fought. Stop making excuses.

He didn't and admitted he was not out of breath, or tired, and felt good. So what's that about, now everyone else is speaking for him so no Kelly you weren't feeling good!?

I respect Kelly for not talking of this supposed ill ness of elbow and bronchitis, but then is that because he doesn't want to be seen to be making excuses, or because he genuinely did as he say, felt good, no problems. I think the latter is far more likely, it's people around him making more excuses to try and defend him and his loss.

It doesn't really add up, and just points to the fact it was Hopkins boxing that was keeping Kelly off, not the other way round.
Actually, he said "I wasn't tired or winded or anything, but I didn't have the energy to throw punches."

That is what Antibiotics do to you. You can feel fine and feel like you have energy, but when you go to use it, its not there.

It seems like that is what happened to Kelly.

Bernard probably would have won that fight either way, but it would have been much much closer if Kelly was healthy.

Pavlik looked fine to me! Bronchitis after a course of antibiotics will possibly make you fatigued, but i saw no evidence of that during the fight. What I saw was a 1 2 puncher getting his strengths taken away and forced to move his feet and continuously reset in order to get off. He does not possess the ability to do so. The style got exposed that night period. Lesson learned, don't fight guys that move their heads and feet!

bronchitis is just inflammation of the bronchial tubes IE stop using milk products and it will go away..stop using them all together you will never get bronchitis..sinus infections.. a cold..asthma

Actually, having just completed a course of anitbiotics myself, I can unequivocally say... YES, they do. I am two weeks out from completing the treatment, and I still have not recovered from them.

Don't tell me what they do and don't do. I know what they do. I am experiencing it right now.

Anyone who claims Pavlik looked slow because B-Hop made him look that way is a little crazy. Its not like Pavlik got worn down by B-Hop's tactics as the fight went on. He looked slow from the opening bell. He threw 26 punches in round 1. That is probably the lowest output of his career in a first round. He was obviously affected by something other than B-Hops style. Styles don't make fighters tired to the point where they are throwing 20% of their normal output from the opening bell on. B-Hop was the better fighter, granted, but lets not kid ourselves, take a look at Kelly's last 5 fights in the first round and tell me there is absolutely no difference between those and the first round of the Hopkins fight. Kelly, for whatever reason, antibiotics, injury, bad weight program, was not 100%. All credit to Hopkins though, he took advantage of it from the opening bell.

The whole injury bull**** reminds me of Oscar claiming an injury (cut hand or finger) before all of his big fights and he was like "No, I'm a warrior! I'm gonna fight ANYWAY!"

If it was a legit injury, there would be no fight. So Pavlik can take his injury and stick it
