Yeah am suprise they're talking about retirement after one loss, It seems like losing a fight these days is a suicidal thing, Thats why i prefer boxers to lose early on in their career than when they're 35-0..

On the topic, Most boxers get injured during a training camp..there is NO way all of them can coming in at 100%, So if pavlik is claiming an injury then am pretty sure its safe to say Hopkins had some sort of injury coming into the fight as well.

this shows how much pav's team were underestimating bhop. it's easy to do when someone else is in the ring taking the punches. pav will be back, but this shows why calzaghe never fights wth injuries.

Didn't take too long for the excuses to start coming in. But seriously bronchitis only 4 days before the fight? Didn't Kelly say he wasn't winded? Fighting with something like that has to affect your stamina and energy level. I can't believe they underestimated BHop this much. It's downright disrespectful to him.

You all did it with Cotto and now with Pavlik. Yet Pac has 4 losses and he is P4P. I do agree with the fact if your fighter is sick or injured then dont fight period. He does sound congested but like one poster stated before that is just disrespectfull to B-Hop.

What fighter now a days takes a loss for what it is. Pavlik did admit that he "got his butt Kicked". All fighters have an excuse for losing a fight. Look at Tarver, Khan, and others.

he did !!!pavlik is mentally ****ed now..thats what hopkins does break you down mentally..this fight was over at the weight in when hopkins turned on him..then after the bell rang in the 12th that was the icing on the cake
