It starts at about the 2:20 mark with him hinting at "something earlier in the week," but when the interviewer presses him further, Kelly looks at Loew before answering and Loew said, "It's alright, don't worry about it."
Again, this is all ******ed. If there was anything wrong with their fighter, they should've been reasonable about it and postponed the fight. Coming out with it in the shadow of a lopsided ass-whipping is a ***** move. If it pisses me off as a fan, I know Hopkins is going to be pissed.Last edited by BIGPOPPAPUMP; 10-22-2008, 08:21 AM.Comment

He sounded congested because his mouth and nose were full of blood. His nose had been busted up badly and bleeding for a lot of the fight. It had nothing to do with him having bronchitis.Comment

Maybe Hopkins hired an evil Voodoo priest to use one of those dolls with the needles so that everytime Pavlik was about to throw a punch he would puncture an arm.
I mean it's possible, right? That would explain why Pavlik couldn't throw the punches he wanted to.Comment

The truth- An old fashion ass whoopin
No excuses, Pavlik got taken to school by a special legendary fighter and became a victim of an old fashion ass whoopen. The lesson learned, "Always respect your elders" and the goal for your fight should be a victory, not a knockout. Another lesson learned is that B-Hop is perhaps one of the greatest boxers every. "It ain't over til its over".Comment

they should just look at it as a learning experience and move on . . . which is what i think they'll doComment

The thing is, Pavlik is a prime healthy fit young man. Is Hopkins all of those things, no. I find it strange he'd be so ill he couldn't even keep up with Hops and look threatening for a few rounds at least and have some good moments at least. He didn't and admitted he was not out of breath, or tired, and felt good. So what's that about, now everyone else is speaking for him so no Kelly you weren't feeling good!?
I respect Kelly for not talking of this supposed ill ness of elbow and bronchitis, but then is that because he doesn't want to be seen to be making excuses, or because he genuinely did as he say, felt good, no problems. I think the latter is far more likely, it's people around him making more excuses to try and defend him and his loss.
It doesn't really add up, and just points to the fact it was Hopkins boxing that was keeping Kelly off, not the other way round.Last edited by Kris Silver; 10-22-2008, 05:24 AM.Comment
