Not to put too fine a point on it...he couldn't have done worse than he did. Bernard wasn't going to set down on his punches and risk getting caught, so I don't think a KO would've been a big worry...a KD maybe, but I don't think Hopkins would've hurt him bad enough to stop it. My point was that if Hopkins is coming forward, he'd at last be taken out of his comfort zone, and would have to open up a little to make a fight of it, and maybe, just maybe, Pavlik would've been able to win some rounds. Problem with that theory, though, is that Pavlik isn't exactly a brilliant counterpuncher. He can counter a little, but his main game is to wear his guy down with work rate and pressure. So in effect both fighters would've been out of their game, but since Pavlik was already pretty farking confused, I don't think he could've been any worse off than he was, and maybe even better.
Stop calling Calzaghe v. Hopkins a ROBBERY.

Stickman's right.
Kelly couldn't have done any worse, so why not try plan B?
It's simple. If something isn't working out, you need another plan. If that doesn't work, try something else. If that doesn't work... run!

I did watch it live and thought Hopkins won. Of course Calzaghe won't give him a rematch it was lucky decision.Comment

At first I thought decision could have gone either Hopkins or Calzaghe way or a draw. But I re-watched and realised that Hopkins won and a rematch is needed. But Calzaghe won’t give itComment
