J-Cal by a clear distance.
Roy vs Calzaghe - who you got?

After much thought, I'm going with Calzaghe by T.K.O. I think Joe will be too quick, aggressive & have too much stamina for today's Roy Jones to handle.
Yeah Joe's punches are not what they used to be, due to all the hand problems, but if he's still throwing punches round after round then I can see R.J.J fading badly late in the fight!
Having said that, you could see in the Hopkins fight that Calzaghe WAS troubled with B-Hop's power. There were a few moments when the legs had gone. So if Roy can throw a few bombs early in the fight, it will be interesting to see how Joe will react.Comment

Calzaghe should win a decision.
However he may be robbed by the New York judges the way Santa Cruz, Lennox Lewis, and Herman Njoudgo were.
If Julie Lederman is working the fight, Joe cannot win on her card even if lands twice as many punches, so the best decision he can get is a SD.Comment

I doubt they'll have Lederman on this fight, and even if they did, she's the exception, rather than the rule, in the US. We may have ****ing lunatic nuthuggers as fans, but we do usually give out fair decisions. This sometimes is true, not often. The ref, I'd question more than anything else. I'd actually prefer to see Jay Nady ref this fight. He'll keep the holding to a minimum, won't let either guy get away with dirty **** unless it's in retaliation, and is generally just a fair guy. There are, I think, one or two better referres, but none more fair minded.
No, I'm not worried about a robbery by the judges, just the ref. I think this fight will be clearly won by one guy or the other.Comment
