Well styles make fights. Jermain Taylor was a lot bigger than Hopkins at middle and just because he can get controversial decisions over cagey fighters (like Winky) doesn't mean he's a threat to a young, strong bull.

Against Hopkins he gassed out, but was able to get away with it. Against a man who could damage him, he didn't, as we saw.

And I really doubt he'd beat Hopkins at lhw, even if we accept he did at mw.

I don't actually get how that relates to what I've said, other than confirming my assertion that Taylor has a dodgy gas tank.

Taylor has a dodgy tank yet still is a solid fighter to have in your resume. I would better than Kessler as he has proven he has want it takes (Hopkins x2)

Well I didn't even MENTION The Schnell, so God knows why he's come into the conversation.

My point remains that just because Taylor was able to use size to get a (contentious) lead on the cards and then gassed out without Hopkins being able to punish does not make him a "good" fighter, just as it doesn't necessarily make Moby a completely crap one because Hopkins shut him out.
