I can't work out why he didn't spank Taylor at least once. He only ever seemed to start throwing them in the last 6 rounds, against Pavlik he started from the word go and dominated.
He seems to want to commit taking the bull by the horns again. Listen to his post fight interview. I think he's done with his conservative/overly cautious fighting approach.
Well there's a good possiblility that taylor was hungrier at the time and Calzaghe is just a more versitile fighter with more skill and very crafty and was carefull to not fall into hopkin's game plan... while i think both of these r true... the golden lesson everyone should have learned is that STYLES MAKE FIGHTS!
There's been something in common with all 3 fighters he has lost too...they all have fast hands and throw rapid combinations. I guess with his style it difficult to counter this type of fighter, especially considering he's never had really quick hands himself. Plus the guy throwing a lot of punches whether they land or not looks better to the judges compared to Hopkins generally lower output.
