So we can't give credit to Calzaghe for beating a Bhop who dominated Pavlik? You were saying Bhop was shot just this past April when he lost to Calzaghe. "Calzaghe beat a 43 year old. So what?" Yet when Bhop beats Pavlik, everybody says "Bhop stepped into a time machine!! I haven't seen him this good in 10 years!!"

Did it ever occur to you morons that maybe Calzaghe was the reason Bhop wasn't able to do what he wanted to do? Cos obviously Bhop was able to do whatever the hell he wanted against Pavlik tonight! Or are we going to hear more ridiculously, nonsensical, bull**** excuses about how Bhop stepped into a reverse time machine and he was shot in April yet in his prime tonight?

FACE THE FACTS. You might not like Calzaghe's style, but he rules 175 on down from Bhop to Pavlik to whoever the **** else.

NO MORE ****** REVERSE LOGIC HEAD UP YOUR ASS EXCUSES PLEASE
i don't give calzaghe credit cause he didn't beat hopkins and many feel the same way. i give him credit for missing the most punches ever in a boxing match.

Yeah no doubt Calzaghe's win over BHop deserves more credit now as Bernard clearly showed that it still takes a hell of a lot to beat him. Prior to tonight's fight I rated Mikkel Kessler as Joe's biggest win but now I think I may have to reconsider.

Say what you will about that fight. The bottom line is that the fight was really close regardless of whether or not you think Hopkins won that fight.

I personally saw Calzaghe edge him out purely on workrate. I'll concede the fact that Hopkins was the cleaner and more accurate puncher that night. BUT, Hopkins lost the fight for himself moreso than Calzaghe won it. Basically, I felt Calzaghe deserved the W more due to Bhops inactivity rather than his own brilliance. Still, a win is a win. I bet Pavlik could agree with me on that one...

You can say you hate Calzaghe cos he slaps or whatever, but if you can't appreciate Calzaghe's skill as a boxer, then you're just a hater in my opinion.

I still like Hops for the W in a return bout. He almost won not doing **** offensively. He'll punch more next time. If he loses a second time, I'll give Joe all the praise in the world no matter what.

i for one dont think bhop was shot against calzaghe. cal is simply better. i bet if he beats jones people will still **** on him. some people are just blind and got their heads too far up their own asses. i like joe calzaghe. hes a good fighter and it showed in his bouts wit lacey, kessler, and hopkins. im not rooting for him in the roy jones fight cause i favor roy over him but if he beats him ill take my hat off to him and give him his respect.

I don't think the second fight will look much different from the first one. So basically it'll probably be UGLY. Just a bad style matchup. Yeah, I can see it going either way depending on whether or not Bhop ups his workrate a little more. If I had to bet though, I'd guess Joe wins no workrate again. Plus I think Joe would have figured out Bhop by now, considering Joe won most of the later rounds and seemed to be taking control.

There's also the respect factor. Do you think Hopkins will be a little bolder? He criticized Joe's lack of power so bad I wonder if he'd try to be brave enough to walk through the onslaught. I'm still a little perplexed by that. He spent so much time going backwards and throwing one at a time against a man he claimed couldn't punch.
