For the record, I think we've all ended up hating one fighter or another because of their ****** fan following.

Joe Calzaghe is my main guy in that department these days.

Good to have you back on-line Pantera. I like Pavlik and hope he puts retirement on Hopkins which is long overdue. I mean what has he got left to prove?

So to all you fans, I am telling you now be ready to feel the pain! Your hype machine is about to run into a brick wall. Enjoy your final hours.

I can't stand that bum either.

By the way Pantera2000 I remember you from ********boxing. What happened son you disappeared after Miranda got destroyed. Everyone was laughing at you and saying you committed suicide I guess you ran away and joined this site instead. Haha ***.

He could hardly be considered "hype" when he's the middleweight champion of the world (albeit against a limited ex champ) now, can he?

That said, he is limited in his boxing.

If you are in love with a trash talker, i.l guess a Pavlik/Kessler type of fighter isn't you favorite. Hopkins should be acceptable though

He's white and a champion, and he looks as skinny as scarecrow from the wizard of oz. Those are a few reasons why people don't like him, but they won't admit that is there reasons. People hating on a guy who takes on anyone... hmmm... SUSPECT

Pavlik just bugs me. I thought JT was gonna take him down, but I was wrong. Yea, he has proven himself...... but I still just dont beleive he is the real deal.... I am hopeful Hopkins still has what it takes.
After seeing Bernard in his last fight I dont know what hope your holding on to. You have to be desperate to actually think Pavlik is still all hype and Hopkins is going to blow him out of the water, even though after his last fight he is showing that he is getting old finally.

No, its totally fake but I bet you that is what Joe may be thinking. He sees Pavlik as a high risk fight, but I don't care I still want him to fight Pavlik. And I want Pavlik to win against Hopkins and call Joe out to make joe look bad if he rejects pavlik. Calzaghe another fight before retiring and thats not against roy its against Pavlik. Hopefully both of them get past there opponents so this fights possible. If roy upsets joe, then Calz/Pavlik probably won't happen then.

While I don't particularly like Pavlik and I really don't have any problem with Hopkins, I want Pavlik to win this fight.

I originally thought Pavlik wasn't very good after Miranda, Taylor I and Taylor II... not because he did badly, but I just thought he was very one-dimensional, and a timebomb waiting to be exposed. I was clearly wrong... I know it was against Gary Lockett, but... he threw every punch in the book, and he threw them extremely well.

The reason I want Pavlik to beat Hopkins is because if someone is going to beat Pavlik, I would rather it be another young, strong, talented, hungry fighter that can actually build off that win. I mean, really, if Hopkins wins, what is he going to do with it? Retire? Then we have a really weak middleweight division instead of one with a couple of good names and that is it.

I wouldn't worry about Pavlik losing too much by the way... Hopkins sure sounded like even he knew he was just an opponent for this fight in the HBO Countdown...

"I'm a fan of Kelly Pavlik, I just want to see what I can bring for this young lion." - Bernard Hopkins

That doesn't sound like the talk of the same Hopkins who is so sure that he will and has won every fight he has ever been in and ever will be in.
