I just really dislike Pavlik

i like pavlik but i see him as being a good brawler with heavy hands, he is strong, has good stamina, good power and a willingness to take on everyone which is refreshing these days. however once you look beyond the power punching and hype he desn't seem to be all that in fact after watching him in the first taylor fight i was pretty sure that a clever fighter with good ring smarts would know how to expose him.

i like pavlik for the way that he is outside the ring as well, he is humble and respectul and doesn't chat ****e to build up his fights because he knows that he can let his fists do all the talking. however its the hype bandwagon that follows him that p!sses me off i know its not really his fault, he cant do anything about the networks and promoters turning him into the next 'big white hope'.

However like with all promoter favourites jeff 'the next mike tyson' lacey and amir 'britains answer to sugar ray robinson' khan he will be exposed, an i have a funny feeling that bernard hopkins is the man to do it.

I havent been on in awhile, but I had to let it be known that I am hoping Pavlik gets KTFO and the hype ends. I havent like Pavlik for a long time. Waaaay before he put in ass beating on Miranda. I dont know what it is, but he bothers the **** out of me. Abraham doesnt bother me..... Just Pavlik.

first of all mate i think its a bit unfair of you to start spouting crap about calzaghe and his career. hes spent most of his prime chasing up fights with american fighters however a combination of poor luck, injuries (g.johson fight) and money disputes (hopkins doubling his demands) have meant that hes had to wait a long long time to finally get the recognition that he deserves. as for him beating a couple of 40 year olds well hes hardly a spring chicken himself is he?

Abaham is just doing what he can and staying busy he cant help it if pavlik is scheduled to fight someone else can he. he doesn't strike me as someone who is ducking other fighters, if kelly and abraham dont get it on at middleweight then maybe you coul start asking questions but its far too early for that.

Pavlik will always be considered a "hype" fighter because he is white. He could remain undefeated for 10 years and will never get respect. Every little mistake he makes will be jumped on and ranted about indefinitely.

Blacks don't do very well outside the sports world and when they see a white fighter beating them at the few things they are good at they don't like it one bit

I made none of that up myself, his former promoter himself said Joe would pull out of fights!!! Pull out! We all know he is a safety first kinda fighter. IF you get tagged by a 43year old Hopkins you don't get to be undefeated at 36 if you were fighting the best. I can't buy the bad luck excuse. I can't accept someone on the p4p ranking (personally i'll put him no further than top 10 too but not top 3 certainly!) can't throw proper punches. His technique is all wrong and he depends on a slaprate. Plus he's always talking about his own legacy which is a joke. I don't dislike many fighters but this guy i certainly do not like. Pavlik on the other hand is normally quiet, unless he's hyping a fight, goes in there, gets the job done, has had a break with lockett and now a money fight with ol bernard just so he can build a bigger name but he's there to take on challenges, not afraid to move up, like real fighters you know? he could stay at his weight and easily build up over 404852 tittle defenses against finger pointed opposition too you know? ANYONE CAN DO THAT.
