I agree Dawson should get a Calzaghe fight 1st since Joe is officially done wit 168.

Your dislike for Calslapstick is wonderful. Please don't stop. The way you and Imdazed give it to the Calzaghe groupies is a thing of beauty.

Pavlik IMO has a much better chance at beating Dawson than Joe.
Well it's true Calzaghe has been choosy over his opponents, but who is left to choose in the LHW division? The only mega fight left is Chad Dawson, and Calzaghe just recently gave up his WBO belt, I doubt he is going back to SMW.

As for Pavlik beating the more difficult opponent I disagree. Calzaghe has better defense and could move in angles which makes it difficult to hit him. If a Dawson/Calzaghe match were to happen I would favor Dawson, but Calzaghe is no Tarver, so he has a very good chance at beating him.

I see what you mean, although Calzaghe hasn't fought a ranked southpaw in the pros, especially one that is as good as Dawson with a full array of tools. Pavlik actually has a punchers chance, where as if Calzaghe gets behind on points, there would be nothing for him to do. I can't see Joe having success on the outside with Chad, so that would mean he would have to get by on his work rate alone and that would be difficult considering he throws wide looping punches and would be countered on the way in badly with straight, accurate punches. I wouldn't even be surprised if he hurt Joe a few times. I think that Dawson's better experience against southpaws and his natural size advantages would be far too much. I would bet that the fight isn't even all that close.
