True, but you are a true fan of the sport and realize division dominance is highly important. The Calzaghe/Kelly fight would sell more and is in higher demand and as we all know, the latter take precidence most of the time. Even though, I'm all for Kelly going back and unifying the MW division before he fights again, if I had to pick who "I would" rather see, it would definitely be Joe and Kelly.

A Calzaghe-Pavlik fight would definitely bring more money at this point for Calzaghe and I think it's the easier fight of the two, style wise, Pavlik is great for Calzaghe, Dawson not so much. A Dawson-Calzaghe fight would be more competitive IMO but I wouldn't mind seeing either one.

I think it is because they're both white. It might be because I like Pavlik more than Dawson who I'm not completely sold on yet, but I think race has something to do with it.

Maybe with the "behind the scene" men who make the fights, but I only see warriors (most of the time) when I watch boxing, not white and black fighters. I just think, along with the money and gravy train of a promotion for the fight, those two have had some semi **** talking going on over the last few months and I'd like them to settle it. Dawson isn't going anywhere.

race has nothing to do with it

Calzaghe and Pavlik are both very marketable top p4p fighters and undisputed world champions in their weight classes....They have also been trash talking eachother for months.

                Calzaghe/Pavlik >>>>>> Calzaghe/Dawson

Yeah I think Calzaghe being a southpaw, one with an awkward style with the strength and conditioning to match Pavlik (maybe more) would be able to take a decision from Kelly.

Dawson is an entirely different beast and that's why he's not known. Ironically, Pavlik was in that position before. Either way, we won't know anytime soon. Pavlik may grow into a solid light heavy before it's all said and done. Or he could lose to Hopkins, who knows.

calzaghe already fought lacy and kessler. no need to face any more challenges this lifetime.
