Vitali would keep the smaller Tyson at bay with his superior jab and pick him apart with lead left hooks and big right hands....The mental midget Tyson would get frustrated and discouraged when he realizes he can't intimidate or hurt the iron chinned 6'7 monster Vitali....Tyson gets beat up bad and either quits or gets KO'd.

It would have be a great fight, I think Vitali would win but we'll never know for certain. Too bad it didn't happen in 1999 - 2001. Vitali said he wanted to fight Tyson at that time, but his shoulder injury in the Byrd fight set him back.

Tyson's early style would have been very bad for Vitali's measuring style. Vitali's style, where he doesn't really jab but just keeps the left out and measures distance for the right hand.

Against a guy like Sam Peter or Corrie Sanders with no head movement that would work but against Tyson, who dipped and slipped about as good as anyone could, it would just leave your defense out in front of you with nothing to hold down the fort at home.

It didn't work for Larry Holmes.

Plus Tyson's body work in close would mix with his foot pressure and bring on the stamina issues that have plagued the Klitschkos in the past.

I'd pick Tyson by a late stoppage, the kind that you saw with prime Tyson in fights like Ribalta.

But I feel the best Lennox Lewis would have beaten the best Tyson. He really snapped his punches.

u are right when u say tyson wasn't really tested but then again vitali isn't tested either. Most of tyson's opponents of the 80's have beter resumes then vitali has.
