Ike Ibeabuchi also a 90s fighter. I would say it was the peak of talent for the division cuz man the 80s had tyson, holmes and spinks but I don't think it was as entertaining fights as the 90s. The 70s could be the real argument for best decade in the division wit Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Chuvalo, Norton ya kno? If ya ask me it's the 90s wit Lewis's great fights and Tyson/Holyfield and Rid**** Bowe and Ike Ibeabuchi man wish we had that now.
I thought it was a great period for heavyweight boxing until Bowe, decided to chuck his career in the dustbin. The Razor Ruddock-Lewis fight and Bowe-Holyfield 1 elimination bouts and later on the first Holyfield-Tyson fights were the highlights for me.In criticism, compared to the eighties,Tyson was on the way down and incarcerated in prison, for 4 years. There were some absolutely shocking fights like the Henry Akinwande-Lewis hug fest an mental breakdown of Oliver McCall,in his second fight with Lennox. George Foreman, managed to hold his own against the smaller and less powerful heavweights, and Holmes showed up the general deterioration in boxing training and skill,by going the distance with Holyfield and McCall and outpointing Ray Mercer.
I would include Bruno on that list, but Hide was more of a bit player in my opinion. Outside of his losses to Bowe and Klitschko he was never really involved in anything top notch or world class.
