I don't understand on how this possible undercard matchup could be about money, when its probably going to be one of the biggest PPV fights in history. I would definitely take less money for this kind of exposure. This applies to both sides.

well to be honest I don't see this landing on JuanMa or Arum's lap in terms of this not happening. If Penalosa already turned down 175 and countered with 250 for a Mares fight (who isn't as known and JuanMa) then I have to think for JuanMa he would want as much if not more. In turn, JuanMa would only be right in seeking at least parity if not more than Penalosa. Arum isn't going to shell out at least 500K for this fight unless it was one of his Latin Fury PPVs and he could make quick coin with it.

my guess is if both came in around 125k for each it would have been done
