He's a glorified gate keeper. He can beat the young bucks but can't get past the elite.

What? "he's patient but but but the peekaboo"

      Please.

      Gatekeeper.

Just because those fighters got a title at one time doesn't mean they can't be considered a gate keeper. Fighters get lucky, whether it is by week opposition or just a lucky night.

Carlos Baldomir might be considered a gatekeeper and he is an ex champ.

do you consider Yori Boy Campas a gatekeeper or or Raul Marquez cause i do, in a way Ike Quartey was a underachieving contender who stood at gatekeeper status, what do you think

Sorry, they are called champs...coz at 1 time they held a title. Gatekeepers are specifically those fighters who never held a title or never became a champ, but have the talent to become a champ.
Mustafa Hamsho is the greatest example of being a gatekeeper because he fought at the time when Hagler fought. The guy could have held a title if only Hagler wasn't there.

                  Right now it's Rocky Juarez.

Friday Ahunyana is a good gatekeeper in the heavyweight division - he exposed Alonzo Butler and Shane Cameron earlier this year.

As previously mentioned, Monte Barrett and Robert Hawkins
