It seems like this is 50/50 in terms of opinions. Should make for an interesting fight, however I doubt it will be exciting.

Peter isn't on the level of fighter than Abraham is.

i dont think they're on different levels, kinda close actually. similar ages, records/ resumes, knockout ratios. even their battles with miranda/toney has its own parallel.

what I wanna know is why would AA people take this fight. It's a high risk, low reward fight. I know they want to expose him to the US fight fan fan but come on. Any fight in the US against a top guy is going to be a high risk, but lets make a fight that will be exciting. Winky vs AA will be boring, ugly, and slow. And even if AA wins the US fan will say " this fight was boring, I dont wanna see Pavlik vs this guy". So in theory what AA's people are trying to do, isn't going to work because even if AA wins he's gonna look bad doing it. Now my theory is assuming that AA DOES NOT KO Winky and I'll tell you as a huge AA fun, the chances of Winky getting stopped or KO'd are more or less 5%

I agree with you. The fight will likely be slower than most people want, which will hurt both in terms of popularity. It is not likely to bring a bunch of money, because neither is a huge US PPV draw... I doubt it even goes PPV. And finally, Wright is one of the worst fighters to fight in recent memory if you want to have an outing where you look good (Hopkins is probably worse, and maybe Mayweather or Spinks, but... really...), so even if Arthur wins, there are going to be people who can point out a ton of flaws with him, because Wright is good at exposing those, even when he loses.

Vasquez was viewed as someone who would get outboxed if he couldn't land a huge punch a few times.
Simon was viewed as someone who could get solved by a slick boxer.
Vargas was viewed as someone who couldn't deal with a boxer.
Taylor was viewed as someone who put his back on the ropes too much and had trouble dealing with someone with a good defense.
Hopkins was viewed as an aging fighter whose legs were aging, even though those legs got the job done pretty well against Calzaghe.

Credit to Abraham for taking this fight, if he wins... it'll look really good on his resume, even though it will take a while to do so, because it will be such an ugly win.
