Sweet! A question I can answer correctly.
Vargas
McKart III
Mosley I
Mosley II
Trinidad
Soliman (for the commentary alone, hilarious)
Taylor
Quartey
Those are my favorites.
If you want to see the vulnerabilities that Wright has:
Vargas (giving rounds away)
Angel Hernandez/Soliman (unorthodox punches get around the guard)
Taylor (punches splitting the guard/giving rounds away)
Hopkins (timing beats the guard)
Ok Thankz. I'll start with Vargas. Last I saw I couldn't pick who won because Youtube quility. Off to *******zComment

Good luck... that one is great.
I think my absolute favorite is Mosley II by the way. In case you are strapped for time or something and have to cut some off the list.Comment

Good post as usual, but to answere your comment with a question"No way he stops Abraham obviously. The question is whether AA is good enough to negate Winky's defence and jab. I say no, he isn't.
Bottom line with this fight is that there is just too many intangibles to pick a clear winner. AA - he has not really fought anybody close to the top yet and certainly noone of Winky's quality. Will he be able to deal with the massive step-up in class? Winky - how much does he have left and how much will his inactivity hurt him? It is a tough one to break down.
Who is the hardest hitter winky has fought and what does he compare to aa's power?Comment

Winky has shown an excellent chin throughout his career.
Vasquez was a huge puncher at 154.
Vargas could throw a bomb or two at 154.
Trinidad at 160 destroyed Joppy, but that was years before... still an okay puncher though.
A LHW Hopkins has some power too... hard to compare an okay puncher at 175 to a huge puncher at 160.
I don't think Abraham can stop Wright, but... the question is whether his punches are hard enough to discourage Wright's workrate. THAT is the reason we have to have the fight instead of just speculating, because that is a hard question to answer.Comment

never saw that fight...
and I ask of course to compare and contrast with Vanes Martirosyan vs. Hernandez which went a UD 10 for Vanes counting in Vanes knocked him down once in the 1st.Comment

Wright vs. Hernandez was a clear win for Wright, but he didn't look too great in that fight. He looked pretty ordinary, because, well... if you don't have power, it's really hard to keep a super busy fighter from just throwing and throwing and throwing. It also helped that he came from weird, unconventional angles, because a straight punch hits Wright's gloves, but a looping punch usually gets around it and hits him in the ear.
Have you seen the Wright-Sam Soliman fight? It's pretty close to equal to be honest.
Vanez probably did a much better job against Hernandez. I don't know, I missed that fight. To be honest, I haven't even seen Vanes fight yet.
We have DVR now though, so I'll be sure to catch his next one for sure.

Hernandez was just a nasty figther that wouldnt go away.. he also tried some funny antics to throw Vanes off his game plan.. to no avail though.Wright vs. Hernandez was a clear win for Wright, but he didn't look too great in that fight. Vanes did hold his cool and win all 10 Rounds on the judges scorecards, but man the fans wanted a KO from Vanes reallll badddd, that Hernandez dude was just ****y as ***, even in the 10th down 9-0... pretty funny huh
Vanes did hurt his left knuckle pretty bad in the 3rd... that may have saved Hernandez' head.
they even had the guts to ask for a rematch after a complete shutout... i must admit it was a veryyy good mental test for Vanes... he did well to stick to his game plan which was to stay behind the jab and just BOX.. didnt get caught up into brawling with this dude.Last edited by VanesBoxing; 10-07-2008, 03:37 AM.Comment

It really depends on what Wright has left, because he hasn't fought in over a year and he didn't exactly look great then. This pick is hard for the simple fact that Abraham doesn't have a busy style so him winning on work rate alone most likely wouldn't happen, so i will lean toward Wright. Since the fight would be fought a tactical standpoint, then Wright clearly would have the advantage, and for Abraham to win he would have to do something that has never done before, which is to stop Winky and i can't see that happening.Comment
