Yeah, Hopkins was smashed up pretty badly in that fight.

Clearly there are excuses. Whether or not they are more or less valid than those given for Kessler is a matter of opinion.

Sure they do. They certainly rate him higher than Baldomir, don't they?

    This is an opinion.

In the months you've posted here, I've tried to teach you countless times that you cannot prove one opinion with another.

Saying "Boxer A was not good because he probably would've lost to boxer B" is not evidence of your claim, because it's a claim in itself.

    Yes?
All you did is stated pointless opinions.
Name me a fighter that Calzaghe faced that is good as Winky or Hopkins or Pavlik.

Now, the fact is that both Reid and Miranda can be criticised, but Reid beat the better opposition. Also, the people that Reid beat (Nardiello and the Ottke robbery) had better records than Miranda does.

It's not really close to be honest.
VN had also been kod in the 6th two fights earlier by Wharton. And from what i know eveyone from Johnson to Reid was "robbed" against Ottke, so its kind of hard to get anything from those fights.

          LOL Nah

Watch these guys lie deny and distort information. They are pretty good at it. They will name a country a fighter and a title and think that is enough

Taylor by far. Taylor will fight everyone and ducks no one, win or lose. I have more respect for Taylor's resume than any other active fighter.

Well Taylor didn't beat Pavlik or Wright, so...

I mean, if Pacquiao stepped up to heavyweight and got destroyed by Wlad, would that make him better than any other flyweight who lived? No. Even though no other flyweight has ever faced an opponent as tough as Wlad, it doesn't make you a better fighter if you face the best and get KO'd.

Taylor was certainly competitive against Pavlik, but I'm not sure how much that should be valued.

Taylor has wins over Hopkins, as does Calzaghe. I consider it a matter of debate which win is worth more, but I think that fighters like Eubank, Kessler, Lacy, Mitchell, Reid and Woodhall are superior to Spinks and Ouma, (who were not legit 160lb guys IMO) Joppy, Marquez and the draw with Wright.

Taylor is still young, and he's a talented fighter. Perhaps his resume will end up better than Calzaghe's, but at the moment I don't think that it is.

True, but Reid beat Wharton as well.

Fair point, I haven't seen most of Ottke's fights, but do you really think Miranda has beaten the same level of opposition and achieved as much Robin Reid?
