and whats more, that was a younger Hopkins. 3 or 4 years younger, I think.
You could look at it that way.

Or you could say that Calzaghe did better than Taylor against Hopkins. And Taylor was over a decade younger than Calzaghe when he fought Hopkins.

I can't believe I'm even bothering to explain this to you. If you have to ask that question you should seriously stop posting here and start watching more fights.
Who has Pavlik outboxed? I thought Taylor outboxed him especially in the 2nd fight. Pavlik's will and activity got him through. That coupled with Taylor's mental weaknesses.

Lacy showed no signs of mental weakness until he faced Calzaghe.

Like I said, I think Pavlik is better but not by that much. He isnt as infinitely more skilled as Lacy as you make out.

      • Pavlik may not be the most skillful boxer around today but I'm damn sure he's got more to his game than Jeff does or ever did. Noone is as one-dimensional as Lacy.

Thats what im saying. Someone says "blue" and you interpret it as "green".

Neither does this thread. Im simple asking you a boxing related question. Your failure to answer is telling.
Yawn. Your insecurity is showing again. What a shock. You were not asking a "boxing question". You were making an excuse. To defend Joe. AS USUAL.

You are saying this. You are saying Roy is shot and so is Joe. You are comparing the two. Saying they both AS shot or both nearly as shot. Of course you are doing it an a subtle manner, like you always do so that you don't have to stand behind your BS.

Here we have it, the depths of Dirks ridiculous excuse making: lacy and pavlik = similar boxing skills. WOW.

              at your hypocrisy.
Still crying? Only at YOU troll. Since most of your posts on here have been either:

              Trolling or
Just incredibly ignorant, biased and ignorant of boxing.

Sorry if most of the time I can't be bothered to debate a guy that makes that many excuses and thinks Steve Dunce is a legit boxing news source seriously.

True. The difference between the Calzaghe/Hopkins fight and the Hopkins/Taylor fights is that Hopkins came on strong in the second half of both fights with Taylor, while Hopkins struggled and had to buy time to make it to the finish with Calzaghe.

That said, I think Taylor will be a good fighter at SMW and will look forward to seeing him fighting either Froch and/or Kessler.

You think Froch can beat Taylor?

Its a simple question and has absolutely nothing to do with Calzaghe. Why wont you just answer?

Im saying they're both past their best. I think if Roy was shot, he wouldnt have been as dominating in his last 3 fights. His opponents were not elite but certainly no bums and Roy dominated them and still showed a top class level of ability even though hes clearly not the fighter he was.
