          Mayweather

          Can SRL's opposition beat that?

Lets see two things. I will say yes Leonard faced better opposition.

Duran 71-1 at the time they fought 29 yrs old was a lightweight champion, then moved on up to be the welter, jr middle and super middleweight champion

Hearns 32-0 at the time they fought won. Won titles from welterweight to lightheavyweight.

Benetiz - 38-0-1 two time champion at the time, then moved up to win to super welterweight.

          Kalule 36-0. Jr middleweight champion

Hagler had not lost in 10 years, had stopped all but one contender for his title. Was the undisputed Middleweight champion of the world.

Lalonde - light heavy weight champion of the world.

4 out of 6 of these fighters where/are considered top 30-40 all time top pound per pound fighters of all time, and were at their peak, or in Haglers case close to his peak. He was only 32, no losses in 10 years.

Compare that to DLH best fighters....

          JCC - completely shot
          Pernell - shot
          Vargas -
          Mayorga
Ike - very good fighter but not a duran, hagler, hearns or benitez
SSM - Great great fighter...Not 50 all time pound per pound fighter.
Tito - Great great fighter ...
          Strum
          B-Hop Great fighter ....
          Mayweather Great fighter...

Dlh has faced great opppostion, but he lost to them!

I left out Jack Blackburn as he is the HOF, but more because of his training of Louis. He is in there as a "Non-Participant".

Don't get me wrong, i admire Langford, afterall he did start at Lightweight and beat some of the greatest Heavyweights of all-time. As for Dempsey, Langford would have picked him apart, Dempsey wasn't on prime Jeffries level. Although he did try to get a fight with Harry Wills (most underrated heavyweight) even if he was past-prime but could have beaten Dempsey.
