if Smoger wasnt the ref in the first fight it may have been stopped,

the second i thought it was level until Pavlik took the last 2 rounds because of his good stamina to get a narrow victory,

i disagree bat, but i can see how you feel that way. i think the 1st was not necessary of stoppage imo. the 2nd was a close fight i think kelly pulled out in the last rd or 2 man. but i see your point. just as it can be seen bhop and winky beat taylor by some which is fine, but it was very close, and that alone shows taylor is a very good fighter, yet many still can not give the kid his credit. that is what is ridiculous!

I see it being a very close fight. Despite Taylor's obvious flaws, we've seen the only way to beat him is by KO (obvious way to beat anyone) or outwork him to a decision. And even the latter isn't easy; Pavlik threw almost twice as many punches as Taylor in their second fight and it was still viewed as a very close decision. Call it "stealing rounds" if you'd like, but Taylor has the ability to win by simply looking better than the other guy, often because what little he does is more effective... or at least looks that way. Then again, now that he's no longer the undefeated golden boy of the MW division, scoring may not favor him as much in future fights.

Kessler seems the better technical boxer in terms of form, but is not as fast or exciting to watch as Taylor. Pavlik was able to beat Taylor twice by being a better technical boxer, despite being slower. Kessler may be able to accomplish the same feat but I think he lacks Pavlik's heart and determination, without which Taylor would still be undefeated.

And whoever is slamming Taylor for "gift decisions" against Hopkins or Winky, gimmie a break. Those fights could have gone either way; nobody was cheated. Even if Taylor had not gotten those decisions and had a couple more losses on his record, he has still been VERY competitive every time out against the best competition.

After Taylor's fight with Lacy, the choice may be more obvious.

Kessler is a Bigger stronger version of Taylor.. meaning whatever Taylor brings.. Kessler brings just that little bit more..

I realise he is white and European.. but that is no excuse for you to be ignorant..

My advice.. dont open your mouth/type unless you know what the **** you are talking about..
