Taylor is only rated for losing but getting lucky decisions against Hopkins and Winky.

And for 2 fights against Pavlik which he should have won IMO. First by stoppage and second on points.

lucky? come on man. don't be a ****. you can feel he lost those fights, but no way can you deny they were close as hell and that says a ton about the kid being a very good fighter. your being ridiculously biased man. anyone who can fight a very competitive and close fight with 2 legends is a good fighter man.

quick hands, long range skills, works off a good jab, lots of lateral movement.. power, flashy skills.. nearly knocked out kelly pavlik..

for a fighter who fights like kessler, jermain taylor would cause him loads of probolems.. he'd eventually expose him for a one trick pony

In my opinion about the best thing Taylor has going for him is his jab, which is crisp and fast. He is not exceptionally fast though, does not have exceptional power, and is not an exceptionally talented boxer. He is solid in many areas but nothing more. He has two major problems, the first is that exactly the opposite of what you say he does not 'work off a good jab', he jabs and then backs it up with little. Its not enough. The second is his stamina which is very poor for such a young guy. I think Kessler would beat him quite handily.

I recommend you to take on the glasses of caring ref. and then watch the first fight again. The fight is still brilliant.
