Monte looks like a small heavyweight with limited skill and I can't see how Haye will benefit fighting this guy. How does fighting Monte prepare him for a fight against Klitscho?
David Haye's Opponent Will Likely Be Monte Barrett

That in it self is prep work for fighting Wlad.
Or is everyone forgetting that Haye only fought a complete can at heavyweight, once in his life.
Because really, Haye never fought at heavyweight.
He fought heavy at amatures? Well that says something already, because Wlad fought at SuperHeavy (people need to brush up on their amature divisions).Comment

BoxingScene.com has been informed by more than one source that Monte Barrett (34-6, 20KOs) is more than likely the opponent to land the fight with David Haye (21-1, 20KOs) on November 15 at the O2 Arena in London. [details]Comment

I'd say monte is a threat to Haye, he's no can. But then again, most top 50 HW's will be a threat to Haye with his well know vulnerabilities.Comment

I also think Valuev-Haye is a tough one, Valuev doesn't have much power, so I doubt he would stop Haye (But hey, maybe..), and he was hurt by an overhand right (If I remember correctly) from Ruiz, so Haye has that shot open. But I don't know how Haye would deal with the size and reach of Valuev, and his jab is pretty good.
I think Haye, but I wouldn't bet a lot on it tbh.Comment

WOULD HAYE BEAT TYE FIELDS AS EASY AS MONTE???
I don't think so...Montes a great test...who is Haye to call out these names after an easy win over Enzo Macranelli??!!
After seeing Barrett beating Fields so easily and the good show against Valuev I reckon one of Monte's big farts would KO Enzo!!!!!!!!...it took Haye a few rounds at least!!!
The guys a fraud with a good body...might help him with the bitches but he has to get in the ring and back up his big mouth!!!Comment
