I think he could drop him, I was right on B Hop dropping him, and I got a feeling Roy will as well. If it does happen it will be in the first 6 rounds, Joe has a tendacy to square up a little and if Roy catches him with a quick right hand he could very well drop Joe

I don't think he can, but of course I may be wrong. I'm really not bothered who wins this fight, if Joe wins cool. If Roy wins, cool.

I even think Calzaghe slaps silly the Tarver and Johnson that stopped Roy.

basically your conclusion of roy right now is hes so shot, he shouldnt have enough stamina to roll out of bed, i completely and utterly disagree with you, so theres no point.
You drew the Kessler and Roy comparison not me, I was talking about what Calzaghe did in the fight, which was great movement, angles, countering, mixing up his punches, a complete boxing performance basically which I don't think today's Roy could handle at all, he's too immobile. 50% was an exaggeration, but I feel the need to point out that calzaghe himself is one of the most skilled and unpredictable boxewrs in the world, a fact which many posters here are in almost complete denial about.

As for that Kessler comparison, I do believe Kessler is better than 2008 Roy Jones and would beat him quite easily.

As for what Roy has left, I don't think he is completely and utterly shot, he can still beat lesser guys, but i don't think he has close to enough left to be able to live with Calzaghe, todays P4P #2.

The question is, can Roy roll out of bed?

Mackie can condition you, and get you in shape. But he doesn't win the fights, all of his best accomplishments have been people moving up in weight, not for the same weight.

Mackie trained Hopkins, and Hopkins still didn't win. I doubt Mackie will make a difference to this, it really is about what legs Roy has left imo.

Maybe Joe will get lucky and Roy will fracture a hip making his way into the ring.

doing all those angles, countering, and mixing it up, is a lot easier to do on a one dimensional fighter... add that on to the fact that was at super middleweight...

at light heavyweight, he was dropped, and didnt look good at all, he won a split decision against a guy whose 42 and barely throws any punches... bernard had one punch all night, the right hand, and it landed over and over.. bernard got tired, and that was that... i believe roy is faster, stronger, and has better stamina than bernard, hes slicker than a kessler, and even possibly a bernard... if joe or any of his fans think he will just walk right through roy with no problem it wont happen... win lose or draw... it wont happen.
