Margarito beat Cotto with pressure, body shots, and uppercuts up the middle.

Floyd beats Margarito with defense, movement, precision, and stamina.

Cotto beats Floyd with output, pressure, and sharp punching.

I think that's how these fights go.

Yeah for sure he'd be going backwards ALL NIGHT! But its part of his game, his defence is sick and he'd not get brave or proud in there he'd stick to the plan and punish him round after round.

I know what u mean man, the feeling of yup got ur number! Like u know how they gonna react to something u do, sometimes it can feel like u know what they gonna try before they even try it

Man I'm not as great with that.. So In my fights you can see throwing a slow jab to get movment from a FAR off opponent even when neither one of us is in range. For some reason which i haven't figured out.. most guys still have some sort of reaction to a pawing jab that clearly isn't going to hurt or land.

Some run in. Some dodge slighty... some back up.

After i'm sure i'm winning the fight You can see me start utilizing this bad technique. I'll get rid of it soon and replace it with feints I guess... or closer snaps..

But at the level of my opponents for right now its working.

I always check that at the beggining of the first round to see where the guy isn't compared to me. I would hate being caught with a straight over one of them.

The original poster doesnt know much about boxing. Cotto would have needed to do a few things, mostly potshot instead of throwing combos, defend himself with economy of movements. Stay out of danger and not gas out.

Guess who does these things great? the fighter the author picks to get stopped in 7.

Floyds not even that old, and has barely been punched cleanly in his career, yet he ran into retirement because he is a big baby and his resume is laughable and his biased fans are laughable. Floyds resume is filled with gatti's of his career while he has never fought people like pacquiao, morales, marquez, or barrera. He fought no one with serious skills at all... Marg doesn't have serious skills but his pressure online would make Mayweather crap himself.
LMFAO, the only thing in which Tony is superior to JLC is size. Go watch some prime JLC and stop typing bull**** like that.

The thing with fighting Margarito is he's going to keep coming after you no matter what you throw at him. Though it's obvious Floyd has the advantage in skill & speed, so did Cotto going into the Margarito fight. Yea, Floyd's defense is a lot better than Cotto's, but Floyd also isn't this incredibly elusive fighter who can't be hit. It's happened before. Nobody has seen Floyd in a position where he's had to back up the entire fight. He didn't even do that against the bigger De La Hoya. Anything's possible.

I still think stylistically Cotto is the tougher fight. Floyd IMO doesn't have enough power to hurt either Cotto or Margarito, but I can see where he'd fight a boring UD fight against Marg and have a closer fight with Cotto.

Exactly. JLC could do everything well. Tony is a ****ing Geico Caveman.

Floyd-Margarito would look like Floyd-Corrales minus the KD's. Yeah I agree... Margarito will be frustrated all night because Floyd will take him out of position to get effective shots off that he'll end up hitting mostly air and he'd be too open and too slow to fend off or evade quick pot shots.

I'm confident Floyd takes out Cotto. Cotto's been put on compromising situations by a lot lesser caliber fighters than Mayweather. Floyd's gonna pound him to the body to soften him up and make his face bleed like it did from Margarito. He's gonna show Cotto the real deal when it comes to boxing technique and how to be elusive.

Floyd wins by UD. Its all been said before. Marg will not Floyd with alot. Mayweather pops him all night, for a boring fihgt, and the buttboys will cry that Floyd is a runner and Margarito was "robbed".
