Chalk and cheese mate. Chalk and cheese.
Well you're right that they are different fighters. Given that, Floyd don't make it to the eleventh. Like I said in the first post, he gets stopped before the end of the 8th.

So many laughable posts and opinions in this thread. My money would be on Mayweather and I would not have a second thought.

People say Floyd would move away all night, but that is not how he would do it. He would use movement a lot of this there is no doubt, but Floyd loves to fight inside an opponents wide punches, people always seem to miss this fact about his style even though most of his best work is done from the inside. Floyd would move away a lot pot shotting then suddenly come in land 1 nice clean shot then grapple then maybe use his forearm elbow the get some space for a body shot or 2 before getting broken up.

If Floyd was lazy and laid on the ropes a lot which he is known to Margarito could get off a bit, but even in this scenario I do not think he would really get at Floyd or hurt him. If Floyd does lay on the ropes and Margarrito chases him while not showing his frustration at the lack of effect he is having on Floyd he could possible outwork Floyd to get a decision on the cards. Floyd does not have a style that will really let him get his ass whipped, so if Margarito can actually be effective on the inside and Floyd is forced to be on his bike then Margarito has a pretty good shot of getting the nod on the judges scorecards (If Floyd is always moving away Margarito's wide shots will land from time to time and with his activity it would give a certain preceptions).

well i would like to see tony win meldrick taylor beat the head of chavez but chavez got him but with 2 seconds on the clock taylor was robbed.
ive seen what mayweather does its great for a purest to watch but margarito would never stop hunting him weather he would do enough work f..k it they should bring back 15 round bouts then we would see real champs.id say magarito because he will get points for agression if he does not ko floyd.i balls more than style if tony had a bit more in boxing skills say like aduran maybe he might draw him into a street fight.maybe bob should put hte money up to get maywether to fight

Floyd would be a combination of Cotto/Clottey and then some vs. Margarito...

Floyd fights nothing like Meldrick Taylor. Meldrick was a offensive fighter that threw combination not really caring about what came back, he wanted to press the action. None of that applies to Floyd, and you did not just compare Margarito to Duran? I am in the minority because I think Floyd-Duran as a 50/50 fight but Duran could beat Floyd for sure, but Duran is so much more skilled then Margarito that they can not be compared.

As much as I cant stand Floyd, he wins this fight easily. He would be smart enough not to try and KO Tony (what got Cotto so tired after hitting Tony with every single punch he threw for 7 rounds) and Floyd is quick enough and has good enough defense that he would see all of those slow as hell wide shots that Tony throws. Floyd would win 9 or 10 rounds.
