Trinidad fighting a 166 is crap, he'd get knocked out by the broken handed calzaghe... Even Trinidad being naturally smaller doesn't even throw as many punches as calzaghe does he? So Calzaghe has Trinidad beat in workrate and probably even power since it didn't seem like Trinidad carried much power up when he fought roy.

It does, power does leave eventually, especially a power puncher like Trinidad who relies a lot on his legs to generate power.

or the calzaghe of 2001 that fought at 168.

the 175 hopkins was able to floor a 175 calzaghe.

trinidad KO'd joppy in round 5. joppy later lost decisions to hopkins/taylor.

          can trinidad hurt calzaghe?

or is calzaghe's unorthodox skills too much for trinidad?

is 166 too high for trinidad? will calzaghe be drained at 166?

I am sorry, but what has Tito done at 160+ to make you think that he can beat joe at 166 in 2001 or 1998.

what has joe done? nothing. at least trinidad had a belt at 160. a real division mind you. calzaghes ring championship at 175 is tainted by a gift decision he got.

Calzaghe easily stops Tito. Tito would be another Manfredo...

Tito did all his damage at 147. He has never won at fight 160 or over, thats what I mean. At least Joe has a couple of wins. This should not even be a discusion.

He beat Joppy at middleweight which, at the time, was a good win. Nonetheless, Trinidad didn't have the skill with power at the higher weights to be able to out-box or stop Calzaghe. Calzaghe would be too hard to hit and would box his way to a solid UD win.

Against a smart, spoiling boxer who was hard to hit, and despite what most think Calzaghe actually does have very good elusive and spoiling defense skills, Trinidad just didn't really know what else to do or have a back up plan to move to. So, I would see Calzaghe beating him pretty easy in a decent scrap and while I don't think he would stop him I could see a knockdown or two at some point late in the fight.

                      This is a joke, right?

The Trinidad who, after being schooled by Oscar at 147, went life and death with Vargas at 154, against an undefeated legend at 168?
