Calzaghe would have to fight another 3-5 years to come close to James Toney's accomplishments.

James Toney never performed on his biggest nights, ever.

His only accomplishment is moving up in weight and getting his ass kicked.

        I called him great, didn't I?

Whether that qualifies as 'dangerous' I'm not sure, but ask Jeff Lacy if he thinks Calzaghe is dangerous and I think you'd be getting somewhere close to the risk Calzaghe poses to Jones.
Hmmm, I'm slightly surprised to see squeals optimism on Joe, or rather pessimism on Roy. And I've made the argument that if Joe can hurt Lacy and Kessler than he can hurt Roy. Can is a funny word though, Roys defence is probably still better than both of those guys. I mean they were both in front of Joe not adapting to good stances or angles, so just got repeatedly hit. I know Joe positioned himself very well to make that happen. But I can't see Roy getting hit anywhere near as much. He'll at least adapt to suite throughout, something neither Jeff or Mikkel did much of at all.

Roy even now is just too clever and quick to allow himself to be totally out classed for 12 rounds, he'll mix it up and confuse Joe at points. I still think Joe will take a good 8 rounds convincingly, and Roy will only manage to grab a few looking good in spells. Will have to see though. Joe seems to be very perceptive of the fact whomever adapts best to eachother will win the fight, if he takes a good mind set into the ring I'm sure he could totally run away with it and knock Roy around, hurt him a little. I think the occasion, being in the ring with admired legend, still quick and confusing, will mean he won't pull that off though.

Who exactly kicked Toney's ass? He's only lost a handful of fights clearly.

Really, the only guys that clearly beat him are Roy and Sam Peter. So he lost to one of the top 10-20 all time greats and a heavyweight who he got robbed against months earlier and held a huge size/power advantage over him. Not to mention, James was 38 for that fight.

Every other fight was close or a robbery.

Calzaghe has fought one great fighter who is washed up and STILL looked like **** against him. A lot of people even thought Calzaghe LOST to him.

Kessler has accomplished nothing in his career.

How anybody can even think about suggesting Calzaghe is a better fighter than Toney really makes me sick.

you called him 'great' with quotes which shows how little you know about this sport and its rich history

I'm going to refer to Calzaghe as *great* from now on

              * = hiding in Europe until the twilight of your career and never fighting a truly great fighter in his prime

Yeah, as was previously stated though when you put the word in quotation marks and it is accompanied by the word overrated it is interpeted as a slur. I think James is pretty underrated to be honest.

I think he is as well. I think his lazy attitude towards the end of his career has made some forget how good he was at his best.
