How is Acelino Freitas not on here? He quit is worse fashion against Diego Corrales because he was still up on the cards at the time. Then he quit against Juan Diaz. What about when Golota quit againt Mike Tyson, he was pushing his trainers and spit his mouthpiece out of the ring.

I don't think any of these guys necessarily disgraced themselves, but Cotto took the most vicious ass whoopin of the 3 at the time they checked outta the fight. I guess you could say his loss was the most humbling.

Freitas didnt quit against Diaz, his trainer *the one that passed away* was the one that told him he was gonna stop the fight and he did..

HBO was pushing for him to win along with a whole island.. and instead he took a knee. Not only did he take a knee but he took a second knee when his opponent was just walking toward him. He looked at his corner and shook his head.. Saying he quit!... Wow.
He realised that night he was never going to win that fight. It takes a real man to do that and he did it. When you get beat you get beat. he at least had the inteligence to stop anymore of a beating than needed. That is a wise decision.

JUST WAIT TILL THE REMATCH. That one will be imo 60/40 Cotto as the first fight was the biggest fight of Margarito's life and had the shot he craved for (which he deserved) but in the next one it will be Cotto who will be the hungrier and the one who wants it more.

Agreed. No one wants to talk about that though.

                    That's correct that is.

I don't think any of those guys mentioned above disgraced themselves. Duran quit because he was being embarrassed, like you say. I wish he hadn't quit but there you go. I think all of them have given enough to the sport to not worry about it. And I don't believe that Cotto did quit.

He avoided the best fighters in each weight division:

                      135: Mosley
                      140: Tszyu
                      147: Margarito, Cotto, Mosley again.

He retired because he was a fraid of a rematch with past prime Oscar De La Hoya, even though he would have made a lot of money.

Duran, JCC and Cotto are real warriors who were never afraid to fight any opponent. Duran kept fighting until he was 52, while Mayweather didn't have the balls to keep fighting past age 30.
Aside from all of these lies you listed above, Vitali Klitschko quitting against Chris Byrd surpasses anything you can say about Mayweather. How do you like that one?
