Larry Holmes deserves a mention. He had one hell of a chin and very respectable power.

          thank you.

ike didn't have great power though.

          good power not great.

just like chavez. good power not great.

          people are going off subject.

people start naming all time greats. you don't have to be a good fighter to have a hell of a chin. you don't have to a good fighter to have great power.

everytime someone asks about a skills level or attribute people only mention the greats people forget the little guys like TUA.

why are people saying Chavez? Ive seen a ton of of his fights, and honestly the guy was not a HUGE puncher. he almost never had any clean 1 punch KOs.
his chin was amazing though, one of the best of all time.

I guess Ill throw in Toney and Duran alongside Foreman and Hagler. both of them had unbelievable jaws, and could do a ton of damage when they actually sat down on their punches...not to mention them getting knockouts far beyond their natural weight classes. but theyre sort of a stretch.

The man had a chin made out granite and that more than makes up for his relative lack of power in this type of discussion.

Where in the **** is Jake LaMotta in this thread?

Gerald McClellan anyone? One of the few guys in history who sustained brain damage because his chin was so good, and allowed him to take massive beatdowns without getting knocked out.

Was Marciano ever down? He had pretty good power I thought.

Erik Morales had pretty good power and a great chin.

                  Manny Pacquiao as well.

Israel Vazquez might top the list of the current guys.

LaMotta couldn't punch, he was just really strong.

Gerald McClellan is a good pick, although his career ended early.
McClellan vs Jackson was a fight between a puncher who could take a punch and a puncher who couldn't take a punch.
