One of my pet hates in boxing is fighters moving up and down and fighting ppl all over the place when there are still top fighters to be beaten in their own division. Once Pavlik beats AA I would then like to see him move up. But he still hasn't conclusively proven that he is the best MW out there, and that is a problem that I think he should concentrate on rectifying.
better win possibly, but he wasn't dropped in that fight. and his face looked worse after hopkins fight. i predict abraham will move up to smw instead of pav coming back down. nobody else to go back for, and theres more up and coming smw; taylor, froch, direll, ward, and inkin.

I think AA will most probably stay at MW for at least a few more fights. Pavlik should go back down there after BHop (which is a fight he should not have taken anyway) and try to unify the titles. Once he has beaten AA and proved he is the man at 160 (if he does manage to get past AA) he should then look up and go after the man at SMW, which is definately Mikkel Kessler. This would fully establish him as the elite guy in that weight range.

i really dont care much about Calzaghe so its not like he would lose much respect from me not because i dont like him its just i dont really follow him or find him that interesting to watch fight. however he would gain a lot of respect from a lot of people who really dont know much about him or dont care about him by fighting a very tough solid challenger who has a good chance of beating him in Pavlik. because Pavlik is one of the most popular tough fighters in the sport right now. If he decides to duck him well people will question him despite his great legacy and rightly so because the greats should always face other greats its what makes boxing what it is!

Then tell him to shut the **** up! He keeps running his mouth = demand to get it closed.

Seriously dude why are you so eager for this fight, does Calzaghe owe you anything personally? This is crazy out of all the potential fights out there you're worried about what Joe will do next. I dont know if you realize this but the sport of boxing doesnt revolve around Calzaghe, never did never will. So instead of stirring the pot and hoping for more arguments why don't you focus on more realistic future fights like Margs-Williams II, or Hatton-Cotto, Wlad-Peter II etc. Unless you can explain in detail why Cal-Pav is this great matchup like you're trying to sell it as I suggest you keep quiet and stop instigating.

I think Pavlik to Calzaghe is what Margarito is to Mayweather. I can understand that you fear Pavlik might take away Calzaghe's O the same way Prescott did Amir Khan, and might wipe everything Calzaghe has managed to accomplish in 15 or so years, It's perfectly normal to be scared for your fighter. Just like most fans, I want to see a superfight like this happen. Calzaghe bitched about them offering Pavlik a fight, I just want to help make sure Calzaghe gets what he wants.

Don't you want this fight to happen?

Are you crazy? Do you post about things that actually happen, or just what you would like to be the case? I think you will be very hard pressed to find a Calzaghe fan who does not welcome the idea of a Pavlik fight, its an easy fight for Joe.

Why do you say that? Have you seen Calzaghe vs 43 year old BHopp? Didn't you notice BHopp only lost because, at 43 he doesn't have the stamina to keep active for 12 rounds? And still he floored JC. I don't see how can Pavlik not kill JC in a fight. JC has work rate going for him... but that's because he didn't face someone as Pavlik. There is no way JC can survive Pavlik straight right hand. No way.
