For Khan Prescott, you could say it was a lucky punch.

You can say a lucky punch for any fight really.
It wasn't a lucky shot though, He was hit by abiut 6 or 7 shots leading to the KO. Not just 1. And when you get hit with 7 straight 'lucky' shots it starts to become ridiculous.

Seriously, a backwards fanboy bandwagoner like me can't even think of an excuse (A good one)

Nevertheless I read plenty of fairly regarded commentators arguing just that. Don't ask for names as I cannot remember them. A fanboy could definetely argue that the fight should have been stopped. I see worse arguments on NSB every sunday.

Oscar Vargas was a really good one. I dont think you could come up with a legit excuse for Vargas.
ah ****, I just did. 'Vargas had never been the same since the Trinidad beating'.
but still, he was on roids for the De La Hoya fight, so this was a really good one all the same.

This is kind of a fun thread. boxing is such a complicated sport that sometimes excuses can be legit, but ones like 'Wladimir was poisoned!' should just completely be ignored.

Ill go for...Roberto Duran vs. Carlos Palomino/Davey Moore.
maybe...Pernell Whitaker vs. JCVasquez or Azumah Nelson.
perhaps...Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Rosario...I dont think Rosario had started doing ******* yet, he had lots of success in boxing for years to come.
        Ray Leonard vs. Wilfredo Benitiez?

I don't think it has to be a good excuse, just an excuse. Saying that Toney landed a lucky punch to beat Nunn when he was hitting him throughout the whole fight isn't legit IMO either but you could say it.

                True,

All fights can have excuses made really.

Trainer, poisen, lucky shot, wasnt focused etc.

Rosario fanboy: Chavez had a very biased ref. in his fight with Rosario. The ref. let Chavez get away with all those infighting without once trying to separate them and give Rosario a chance to box. The ref. was a disgrace!

Benitez fanboy: SRL got lucky there. Otherwise Benitez would have won. Benitez only trained fourteen days for that fight. How many rounds do you think SRL would have lasted had Benitez prepared for 3 months???

                    ****** ******, and ******!

regardless if he was poisoned or not, they took him to the hospital afterwards and his blood sugar was 3-4 TIMES HIGHER than normal, if you can honestly say something wasnt wrong with him, then you are just ****ing ******. watch the ray mercer fight, wlad put out way more on mercer than he did to brewster, and he was physically fine. the only time wlad got tired truly was against purity and that was like in the 11th round?! sorry but wladimir klitsckho does not get tired in the 5th round in a championship fight.

ALSO REWATCH THE ****ING FILM! when brewster starts throwing **** on wlad, NOTHING lands clean, everything is grazing, or blocked by wlads arms, just wlad is so damn wiped he cant even stand up straight so it made brewster look like a god when really he didnt land ****.

                    damn.

Pernell Whitaker vs JCC: You can't make an excuse as to why Chavez got outclassed.

JCC vs Frankie Randall 1-2: You can't make an excuse to why Chavez lost them both

Pernell Whitaker vs JLR 1-2: You can't make an excuse to why JLM lost

An excuse can't be made for JCC and JLR as to why they(Realistically) lost those fight.

JCC vs Taylor had ALOT of excuses
