Because he got two very lucky decisions against Hopkins - he was hurt and outworked late by a 40 year old who made him look 40 years old.

He then clearly lost to Winky Wright but got a draw. Then struggled against two welterweights.

He was hardly a dominating champion.

luck decisions against bhop? he landed more punches and won more rounds clearly. he got hurt near the end but was never outworked, ur making stuff up. i scored wright/taylor a draw great fight... winky should have won but gave taylor the last round. clearly last ur jokin i hope. you dont have to dominate fights to win. you can win rounds by 1 punch and still win the round. he'll get more money for fighting lacy then froch. wait for his next fight see who its against.

so Pavlik calls him out when Roy Jones turned up and practically had the fight signed at the Hopkins fight.lol

Pavlik knocked out a very limited club fighter from Calzaghe's gym and that's when he thought of pursuing it.

Joe Calzaghe couldn't have avoided these ducking allegations.
