Totally forgot about the "body snatcher" and pazienza too. Anyway you helped prove my point.

I never bring up McCaullum or Paz when I am nuthugging Roy's resume. One of them was past his prime and fighting about 33 weight classes above his natural weight and the other was at least 40 years of age and a shell of his former self. They are good names sure, but not good names on Roy's resume when situational factors are taken into account.

I respect them both but I rank Jones higher.

I know that 168 wasnt PAZ's natural weightclass but he seemed to carry the weight well and he impressed me with his speed and slickness. When he challenged Jones for the Super middleweight title I actually thought he had a decent shot. He was hot at the time and was on an 11 fight win streak.

toney, ruiz, and virgil are all completely meaningless fights. jesus especially ruiz, honestly... saying "roy jones moved up to heavyweight to win a title" sounds alot better than adding "against ruiz" to the end of it.

tarver really won that first fight with jones, everyone knows it. roy jones sat in a division which was worse than the heavyweight division of today. he made himself look like a god against fighters that never went anywhere before or after their fights with jones. im not saying roy didnt have skills, he did, but he didnt ****ing fight the people he could have fought. now that hes old and the god damn rappers have broke him hes all wanting title shots and **** cause he whipped up on trinidad? cmon...

thats not to say floyd has had a great career, he dodged alot of fighters just like jones did. fact is though that de la hoya, hatton, and judah are better than anyone roy jones had ever faced, outside of bernard hopkins.

floyd and jones both have skills but they could have done alot more and made efforts to fight more "real" fights. you dont see pacman, pavlik, taylor, or hopkins taking any easy fights these days do you? floyd and RJJ were both #1 p4p champs at one time, and that generally means you should be trying to fight p4p fighters if possible.

in my mind floyd and jones will always be "dodgers"

How can Toney be a meaningless fight. It was for the undisputed championship of the world. Toney was even ranked higher in the P4P lists at the time. Jones was the underdog. The hill fight was also for a unification bout.
