I think Joe deserves the number 2 spot, but I don't think he should go to number 1, even if he beats Roy and Manny loses to Oscar. Pacquiao has beaten 3 genuinely elite p4p fighters in Morales, MAB and JMM of late, that has to override the events of the next few months, regardless of what they may be. For Joe to go to number one he would need to beat a Dawson or a Pavlik and Manny would need to lose to a fighter around his own weight class. That is my take on it anyway.

I agree. As far as I'm concerned, neither the Roy nor Oscar bouts count in the P4P stakes, unless Pacman wins in which case he becomes uassailable, or Calzaghe loses which will justify a significant drop.

2. Pacman loses in both speed and stanima and then is assassinated after the fight...

3. Joe Calzaghe is exposed and embarrassed by a washed up Jones.

4. Marquez is Humiliated by Casamayor

5. Vazquez needs to be killed cuz There still aint a fight lined up 4 him yet.

6. Margarito becomes Inactive.

Once 5 out of them 6 things Happens, then Pavlik might have a shot at being the new p4p king

haha yeah i wasnt thinking about pacman, i really meant he would jump ahead of calzaghe and bump him down. to take his #2 since hopkins is still at 4. but then i would still put marquez ahead of pavlik. it would be manny, marquez, pavlik, calzaghe, hopkins.
