Is #2 Too High a Spot for Calzaghe on the P4P List?

Instead of replying to a post that backs you, how about responding to a thought out response like that of abadger's?
Nope thought not.
Calzaghe has reigned for over 10 years and has beaten some good fighters along the way.
As the underdog he beat Eubank, he humiliated Lacy, outclassed Kessler and and out worked Hopkins. Not to mention the 6 or 7 other former world champions he has beaten along the way.
No one so far has had enough to beat him, so yes he is definately No 2.
As for being undefeated having no bearing, well a certain Rocky Marciano went undefeated and he did not have the greatest resume either yet.....he is regarded as one of the greatest ever heavy's???
Wonder why that is?Comment

How am I a racist? I havent heard one good reason why you think you have the right to call me that.
News for you twat, P4P rankings are about OPINIONS, just cos people dont share the same one as you, doesnt mean they're wrong.
Why cant you accept that?Comment

I had Floyd as number 1 and Joe as number 2. Floyd retired, so Joe moves up.
In my opinion Pacquiao has never beaten Marquez so it would make absolutely no sense to rank him above Marquez.Comment

Why are some of you getting your panties/knickers in a twist over P4P rankings? They are purely subjective.
The facts about Calzaghe are that he has owned the WBO, IBF, WBC, WBA + Ring belt at 168 and he also owns the Ring belt at 175. He is also unbeaten in 45 fights.
My opinion is that while he doesn't have the greatest resume, he has beaten some excellent fighters and some very good fighters, a few of whom are underrated. It also must be added, that contrary to the farcical claims of $in in the first post, Calzaghe has never ducked anyone, unlike the widely respected Hopkins who ducked Calzaghe in 2002. Getting the big fights wasn't easy for Calzaghe until now.Comment

Most people would agree Joe, Manny and Marquez are the top 3. From there its down to opinions. Ive no problem with people ranking them any which way. It would be quite boring if we all agreed on everything.Comment

this is just plain and basic common sense. marquez should have 2 wins over pacquiao and he should be #1 p4p even when mayweather was still around. marquez was another mexican ducked for many years and he could have beaten anyone in and around his division in his prime.JMM should, in my opinion, be in the #1 spot. I don't care if he "loses" to Pacman 20 times in a row, he's the better fighter and much more highly skilled.
Vasquez should be at about #4, right behind Pacman and Calzaghe, in that order.
Pavlik doesn't belong in the top 5 just yet...close, but not just yet.Comment

rocky marciano is not considered a great heavyweight because of his resume. same with calzage. cowards who fight bums dont deserve respect. marciano couldnt move up in weight to fight better fighters but calzage could have he was just to much of a coward to do it until now when the name fighters are old and past there prime. he is the wales version of mayweather.Instead of replying to a post that backs you, how about responding to a thought out response like that of abadger's?
