Pavlik resume nearly good as Calzaghe

But you said that to be "elite" you have to beat an "elite" fighter and that Kessler lost to an "elite" fighter in Calzaghe who had never beaten any "elite" fighters and so was not "elite" at the time.
Do you really rate Taylor though? He edged two razor thin decisions against a complacent and past-it Hopkins then looked like ****e against a succession of Welterweights before getting absolutely wrecked by the first guy his size he faced. The Hopkins wins were decent I suppose but he followed them up with turds.
Taylor did fight two guys that were better off junoir middleweights but he clearly won both fights. The SD in the Spinks fight was a joke. The reason the fights ****** was because of the styles. Ouma Came forward and fought but clearly got out boxed. Spinks pretty much ran and tried to steal rounds moving backwards. Don't forget that that both those guys held belts at 154 before they came up. The fights looked awful but you knew who won just like with Clazaghe fought Sakio Bika. Ugly fight but clear winner. Also looking at the Taylor hopkins vrs Calzage Hopkins fights I would say that I would like to see a Taylor-Calzaghe matchs just as much as a Pavlik-Calzaghe. We would know a hell of a lot more about all three fighters at that point.Last edited by M.I Truth ?; 09-06-2008, 12:13 PM.Comment
